ejabberd-mod-log-chat software package provides logs chat messages to text or html, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ejabberd-mod-log-chat
ejabberd-mod-log-chat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ejabberd-mod-log-chat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ejabberd-mod-log-chat *
You will get with ejabberd-mod-log-chat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
